Nick McCann studied art at Nottingham Trent University, University College Falmouth School of Art & Design, and graduated from The Slade School of Fine Art, University College London.

For 25 years, his filmmaking, television and heritage work took precedence. He has now resumed painting again; with mischievous and unexpected results.

His first One-Man London Show will be in 2014.

La Serenissima
Decorative Mural

La Serenissima was inspired by
Byron’s epic 1818 swim from
the Lido along the length of
Venice’s Grand Canal (and the
artist’s emulation in 1988 on the
bicentenary of the Poet’s birth).
The Venetians call their city
‘The Bride of the Sea’,
and Byron’s family crest
featured a mermaid.

The mural is situated in a
property in Nottinghamshire
